Latest Technology & Digital Dentistry

As a practice who have always been at the forefront of modern dentistry, we understand the importance of bringing our patients the latest and best treatments and technologies. That's why at Belmore Dental we are constantly researching, developing skills, knowledge and staying ahead of the game. The fast-moving world of digital dentistry has revolutionised not only the treatments that we are able to offer, but also the way in which we are able to carry them out.

CBCT Scanning

At Belmore Dental the safety of our patients is of the utmost importance to us, that's why we use a high tech CBCT scanner that emits very low doses of radiation whilst being able to provide us with incredibly detailed 3D images of the teeth and surrounding structures.

CBCT scanning is extremely important in dentistry, not only as it allows us to view things in such great detail, but it also allows us to diagnose issues that may not be seen on a traditional x-ray. Along with this CBCT scanning Is also a vital tool in the treatment planning process, with the foundation of many treatments including the need to pre-plan in great detail.

CEREC 1 visit Smiles

In todays fast-paced world there are few of us who have the spare time to visit the dentist for multiple appointments to complete our treatment, at the same time, sitting for hours in a dental chair is not something many of us enjoy either. Thankfully, at Belmore Dental we are able to provide same-day restorations such as crowns and veneers using our state-of-the-art CEREC machine.

The dentist will prepare your tooth for the procedure, create an image of your tooth using our CEREC Omnicam camera, this is then uploaded to our design unit. After this your dentist will design and create a 3D model of your new tooth, this model is then used by our milling machine which uses high quality ceramic blocks to create your new tooth. Your new tooth can then be fitted only a few hours after you arrive!

iTero Element 5D Plus Scanner

Our latest investment is the iTero Element 5D intra-oral scanner, a cutting-edge digital scanner that delivers a seamless experience to our patients with more precision and speed than ever. Gone are the days of having to take messy impressions of your mouth that can leave you feeling uncomfortable, at Belmore Dental the iTero has streamlined our scanning process. Along with this, the iTero Element 5D has a built-in caries detection technology, meaning we can assess and monitor the health of your mouth as time goes on.

For patients who are interested in Invisalign, with the iTero scanner we now also have the ability to show you a visualisation of your post-treatment smile and give you an idea of how your results will look.

HiFu

Our Facial Aesthetics Clinic is no exception to our love for the latest technology, having recently invested in the cluederm Ulfit HiFu Machine for face lifting and body contouring, we are now one of the only clinics in Northern Ireland offering this service.

The Ulfit is a completely non-invasive, face lifting and tightening, body tightening and contouring device that provides customised treatment procedures applicable to the face, neck and multiple areas of the body.

Digital Smile Design

Digital smile design is an exciting concept that we have been offering our patients for some time now. Whether you have crooked, chipped, cracked, discoloured or misaligned teeth, our smile design service allows you to choose and view your new smile before any treatment is carried out. Allowing you the ability to tailor make your new smile and know that you will be walking out of our door with the smile of your dreams.

Your new smile will be designed while taking in to consideration your face shape, lip line, eye position, jaw angle and so on. Our cosmetic dentists will help guide you on your choices and create the perfect smile for your face.

3D Printer

In order to provide our patients with the best possible service we recently invested in a 3D printer. 3D printing is a manufacturing process that creates a physical object from a digital model file. So, when we take a scan of your teeth, we can now create a physical model of your teeth to assess, create plans, create things such as whitening trays and so on.
