This high-tech approach now allows us to get you finished with your treatment in a single dental visit at our practice, Belmore Dental Implant Clinic<\/u><\/a> in Enniskillen Co. Fermanagh. This is what you should know about the CEREC treatment process.<\/span><\/p>\n

You get digital impressions with CEREC.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

CEREC is a type of computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD\/CAM) dentistry. Your Dentist Dr Sinead McEnhill<\/u><\/a> or Dr Joe McEnhill<\/u><\/a> along with our team<\/u><\/a>\u00a0will prepare your tooth and then take a digital image using a specialised intra-oral scanner and computer software. Next, the onlay, crown, or other restorative device will be manufactured by our on-site milling machine. Because the process is digitalized, it is comfortable, accurate and finished in little more than 30 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Treatment only takes a single visit.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Nobody likes going to the dentist multiple times for a single problem. One of\u00a0the most inconvenient parts about getting a crown is needing two appointments. During the first visit, you not only need to have an impression taken, which many will agree is a very unpleasant experience. You will\u00a0also need to have a temporary crown put on the tooth and hope that it lasts, without much discomfort, until the final crown is created and fitted. With CEREC, the digital impression is used to quickly produce your final crown on-site. That means we can apply your crown and you\u2019ll be ready to go. You don\u2019t need to return for a second appointment in a few weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n

CEREC materials are made of porcelain or ceramics.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Some crowns, bridges, and fillings are made of metal. While lead-free metals can be safe, silver and gold-colored objects in your mouth aren\u2019t attractive. CEREC crowns and bridges are made of ceramic, and fillings are porcelain. They are closer to the natural color of your teeth. In addition, porcelain fillings can be more durable than composite ones.<\/span><\/p>\n
